You don’t need to speak to a doctor before considering getting pregnant. I believe they recommend 2 years between pregnancies though. You can have a vaginal birth after a c section although sometimes it depends on the reason for your c section first time around. You can ask to discuss it with a consultant - I did this and they talked me through the pros and cons of each option and the likelihood of me having a successful vaginal birth. I opted for a planned c section for my second x
You can certainly have a vaginal birth after c section, as long as you’re informed about the risks of scar rupture - it’s an incredibly small risk but it is . The other complication is a slight increase in chance of placenta accretia (where the placenta attaches deeper into the side of the uterus/scar site), but this would be picked up at your 20 week scan. I’ve known plenty of women to have vaginal births after c section, even birthing at home can still be perfectly safe.
I'd at least ask them ❤️ i asked my midwife about if I have another baby, she said you can have two c-sections and still have a vaginal birth, but after that no. But i think it's also depending if you had any complications etc x
