Trapped gas - any advice?

Hello everyone, My 6 weeks old daughter she is struggling with the trapped gas all day/night long. (The nights are worse). Especially soon as I lay her on the back (like every time), she is trying pushing the gas out (grunting a lot ), she is moving her legs a lot and after that she starts crying. Is really heartbreaking. I have massaged her but doesn’t seem to make any difference. This is a constant thing. Even when I am breastfeeding her, most of the time she is moving the legs and grunting a lot that sometimes she is regurgitating and even vomiting. The doctor haven’t really helped so I am asking you mamas if you have any advice on this please- it would be so much appreciated. Thank you so much!!!

Hey!

Have you tried infacol? :) x

@Lucy yes. It is my 3rd week so far..

Kendamil baby drops helped resolve my LG (3 weeks) constipation she farts a lot more now, burping her like this https://www.instagram.com/reel/DCCvrW9sMdq/?igsh=MWJuaGJpa2hxdHFqcA== but with more neck support and one ounce of cool boiled water (doctor advised). Maybe she might have reflux ?

Is there anything that you could be eating which could cause this to happen from breast milk? I would go to a basic diet for a few days and see if it helps. Eg no lactose etc. if you Google this you should get a list of things to avoid to try

@Chanelle the doctor said to monitor her to figure it out which one is. Reflux, colic, constipation, gas…

@Kimberley I gave up on milk, coffee, chocolate, broccoli, tomatoes..etc.. so far still the same

Yes I found an amazing way to relieve my daughter there’s a vagus nerve next to her belly button you push in gently and twist not painfully and hold it for 2 min instant relief and farts for my little one

It was a ig video from a chiropractor that I saw

Laying babe on their side for a few minutes helps move the gas, also another thing you can try is probiotics it will help digest better

Gripe water helped our baby girl with wind x

My daughter’s gas/reflux turned out to be caused by tongue tie, it was missed at birth, at 2 weeks, and at 5 weeks (by a professional lactation consultant who claimed to specialise in ties). My HV checked when I was at my wits end and referred me to the infant feeding clinic, who assessed her properly and cut it. I tried everything else and having her tie released ended up being what solved it, so it’s worth a check if she hasn’t been already. Posterior ties can be easy to miss when they are very young x

Thank you all for the advice

The fridababy windi really helped my baby girl. She has bad has and always has since she was little. The only way she would sleep is on her belly because that would help her exert the gas easier than back sleeping (although read into the risks of belly sleeping for little babies because I had to make an informed decision knowing all the risks)
