How would you react?

How would you react if your partner asked to go to the gym the day you came home after your c-section?

I would tell him he can run up and down the stairs 15 times to get me water and snacks, oh and he can change the baby all day if he wants a work out too! Would be happy to support him going for a run to clear his head if he needed but he wouldn’t be leaving the house the first day home for me 😂

Tell him not to come back afterwards. Honestly some men are just dickheads

I’d be in disbelief! Maybe he’s feeling overwhelmed or something but you can both be overwhelmed together! Can he go do a YouTube work out upstairs/ outside if he really feels the need!?

Honestly, as long as he gave me everything I might possibly need and didn't take the mick with how long he went and kept his phone on loud with him, I don't think I'd mind. I've got my csection scheduled for the 2nd June and I've already told my partner that if he needs some time/gets overwhelmed or anything then to let me know and if he needs to go out or anything just to make sure I have everything I need and make sure the kids are OK then I'll be fine with it

Can he seriously not take one day off from the fucking gym after you’ll have had 7 layers of your skin, tissue and muscle cut through to bring your baby safely earthside? Fuck my life, some men! 🤦🏽‍♀️

I would but only if he gave me the same amount of time away like he could take Baby for a walk for an hour or something

@Danielle I agree. I think as long as he’s willing to help and make sure your needs are met then going for an hour or two with his phone sound on I think would be okay. Birth and everything is different crazy and he probably wants some time too so as long as he’s willing to help then I think being gone for a bit isn’t crazy. If you have other kids then I’d say no

C-section mums need ALOT of help PP, some can’t even grab their baby properly without the area hurting so for Csec being a major surgery alone I would say he’s being a huge ass, I mean buy some weights for home and pump at home that way when I’m ready I can grab it and work on myself too without leaving the house. The beepers at the hospital go on ALL night long I couldn’t sleep through it, and I once asked a midwife “who’s beeping you at 3am?!” And she said oh the mums that had a Csec need help grabbing their baby or getting out of bed etc. so no.
