Can you go into labor without losing mucus plug? 38+5

I’m having really strong menstrual like cramps or maybe their contractions(?), practically diarrhea, back pain, and my baby is moving aggressively causing severe rib pain. I don’t think I’ve lost my mucus plug yet, I’ve had some discharge but nothing with blood or a pink hue. I started timing the contractions and they’re almost about 30-60 seconds long and 15 minutes apart. I’ve had 3 so far and I’m not sure if I’m starting early labor or not. I’ve had BH contractions before and this feels totally different!

Co asking

Yes this is possible! Happened to me. Started having contractions before I lost mucus plug or waters broke. You are probably in labour! Exciting 😍can you call your hospital/doula/midwife to ask them advice on what to do ie. when to start making your way to the hospital? Good luck mama ❤️

It definitely sounds like you're going into labour. I lost my mucus plug and waters whilst actively pushing babe out, it can happen anytime! Good luck 🥰

Yep! You don’t need to lose your plug or have your waters break!

Get checked out, but it just sounds like possibly prodromal labor

You want your contractions to be a minute long and 5 minutes apart

I sadly had prodromal labor for a week, lost my mucus plug day seven, water broke that night, went into active labor next day, baby born the next day after that. It can take time

Avatar

yep you can

Go get checked girl, I didn’t loose mine . The first time girl

It sounds like the beginning stages of labor. I was like that for about two days before actual labor. At least the diarrhea you know your body is cleaning itself out so when it’s time to push you, don’t poop yourself.

Thank you all so much, this was really helpful!!! I was able to sleep through the night, I have a dr appointment tomorrow morning so depending on how today goes, hopefully my baby comes soon! I am sooooo over being pregnant!

I didn’t lose my plug until I was already at the hospital and my water broke apparently I was 5 cm dilated the whole time and my plug was still in tact some how. Had my baby 4 hours later and 30 mins of pushing

Small head reported following 20 week scan

Has anyone else had it flagged that their baby is in the bottom 5th percentile for head size?

They said everything was fine whilst we were in the scan and then I got a phone call the next day saying that it’s on the small side and we’re being referred to a paediatric specialist at St George’s. Has anyone else had this and how did things go??

Would you bring 9 week old to a family party of 35+ people?

These are also people who will want to pass the baby around and get a turn to hold him. He just got his 2 month shots two days ago

Exercise 6 weeks after c section

What movement did people start to introduce? I won’t do anything too vigorous until I’ve seen the pelvic physio as I don’t want to compromise anything that may have been extremely weakened through pregnancy! But just wondering what types of classes/movement people started off with?

Scan needed at 33 weeks

Hi ladies! I just had a midwife appointment (I am 33+5)..the midwife was different to my usual midwife. She's requested I have a scan within 72 hours as she said baby is measuring a little small, however, she did say that it's likely nothing to worry about and it's probably just her measuring me a bit different to my usual midwife. Has anyone else had this? Am a bit worried although babys heartbeat and movements are completely fine.

Finding out gender

Has anyone found out the gender at a private scan at 14 weeks? And has this been accurate?

I found out at 17 with my first but I know a scan place that offers from 14/15 weeks and I’m impatient 😂🥲
