I found there was so little information from the hospital on this. It was basically “6 weeks then you’re good”. There is an account called 360 mama, which is a programme designed for c-section recovery / rehab, including avoiding diastasis recti and reducing the appearance of your scar and overhang. They have week by week guides on exercises to be doing and scar massage techniques. You can pay for the programme, but they also have good information on their instagram etc. It’s certainly very gentle until 10 weeks.
No C section but waited 2 months this time to start gentle exercise (yoga/long walks) again. I like running and did after 2 months after my first which felt too soon down there! Give yourself time
I’m starting a fitness dance class this week but going to stop if I feel like it’s too much (7 weeks pp) and I’ve booked a c section scar massage session for 10 weeks pp and hoping that if I go to a few sessions of that it will help with the overhang / scar x
I've restarted my membership at my HIIT gym which I did at least twice a week until 31 weeks for 1 June
No c section but im going to a mother and baby pilates class for my first bit of exercise (probably since Christmas), im just gna see how it goes and take it steady i think
I didn't have a C-section but started a fitness class recently and they ask you don't start until 10 weeks pp after having one
Waited 8 weeks - working out , a lot of cardio calorie deficit diet and also a c section band / faja would be your best friend . Been doing so for 5 weeks and have lost all baby weight and more and have a little overhang that I’m still working on but in comparison I wasn’t half of this with me first c section x
Signed off by a pelvic mommy mot physio at 6 weeks & back to weights and spin
Thank you for posting this as I am just about ready to think about exercise. I’m 10 weeks post c section x
