Baby acting different?

So I plan on calling my babies pediatrician tomorrow but was curious if anyone had any experience, but recently my baby has been having a hard time. The last two days he has been completely unruly all of a sudden where he wants to eat for long periods of time and also eating almost every hour. He also has been pooping way more often as in almost every 30 mins. Can a baby get sick/have an upset stomach? He’s also been spitting up though this isn’t unusual for him. He just seems so different these past two days where he will skip any other hunger cues to go straight to scream crying. Then he also won’t chill unless I’m holding him. Could it be a growth spurt? He is almost 8 weeks on Wednesday. He’s usually not a fussy baby unless he’s hungry, gassy or wants to be held. The pooping I think has been the most concerning as he usually only poops every couple days so multiple times so close together has been weird. Any ideas?

Are you breastfeeding? Formula? Could it be the start of CMPA? We are going through this with my son right now, i have a peds appt tomorrow. My first had CMPA and i am 1000% sure my second has it as well. I’m distraught trying go get his belly issues sorted out so he’s not screaming 24/7. Usually CMPA comes on around 6-8 weeks old. Are the stools mucousy at all?

@Kelly I’m breastfeeding typically with sometimes a formula bottle but he’s gets I would say 90% breast milk and 10% formula. His poops I would say have been still the yellow brown of breastfeeding but it’s definitely more in volume. I don’t believe mucousy but I’m unsure since I’m not sure what that would look like

Most likely cluster feeding although normal still have to watch out for over feeding I’m experiencing the same thing now lol my pediatrician says its ok for a little snack so I just give him a few ounces more 1-2 and sit him up for about 15 min to keep him from having acid reflux after burping

As long as poop isn’t green or black in color and it’s not watery it’s ok. But if baby’s really fussy it could be the formula you could ask your pediatrician if baby may not be taking well to the milk.

Sounds like it's probably just cluster feeding/growth spurt, but I'm on team Call the Doctor if it's weird for your baby and feels like something could be wrong. It always gives me peace of mind to know what to look for that *does* make it a concern. My guess is they just tell you to keep an eye out for signs of dehydration or fever. I'm not sure what else would be done at this age even if it is a suspected stomach virus. Hope he feels better soon! They're so pitiful when sick this little.
