What to expect for soccer?
My sons finally at the age where I signed him up for soccer in August! He's so excited! What should I expect and what does he need? There wasn't much information on the registration form. I know he obviously needs knee pads and cleats, but is there anything else? I can't imagine soccer for 4 year olds being very competitive 😂 but I overthink things and like to be prepared, especially because im going to only be a few months postpartum 😅

Shin guards!☺️ Sometimes the uniforms don’t come with shorts, just the shirt. So maybe some shorts? Soccer socks ? They are longer so the shin guards are covered
@Maria shin guards! Thats what I meant, not knee pads 🤦♀️😂 what type of shorts should I get? Those athletic material ones?
@Anisa from the info I did get, there was one night of practice and games on the weekend. But all I imagine is a bunch of tiny toddlers just running around sometimes kicking a ball 😂

From my experience you really don’t even need the cleats I got them too but half the kids were just in sneakers they don’t actually play soccer they essentially just run drills: learning ball control, how to shoot, how to pass, etc we didn’t even have matches
