Wobbly head

My little boy is almost 4 months old and still slumps his head forward when sat up, is this normal? During tummy time he lifts his head up for about a minute or so, that’s about it

Following cause my LO is the same

I literally asked this question yesterday because of her hating tummy time and not lifting head, I had lots of reassurances from people that it is normal. I think they said anywhere between 4 to 6 months is normal for better head control? Xx

Yeah we’re the same here. We spent over a month in NICU when my little boy was born so he’s had a rougher start. He’s had surgery to remove part of his lung and is otherwise doing well, reflux and colic aside lolllll. But yeah we’re not there yet with the head holding. Getting better for sure but we were referred to physio and definitely helping. When holding baby, face them outwards and use one arm to slide under babies two arms like perch them on your arm. Use the other one to cradle their bum. If you support their trunk really well they’ll feel more confident to lift their head and feel more steady. This position alone has helped my wee boy MASSIVELY over the course of a few days. The physio saw me for the second time and couldn’t believe his progress she actually clapped haha
