Eczema

I use aveeno baby as they have a range for eczema including the shower gel

My boy is head to toe very rashy, been told multiple times it’s eczema 🤷‍♀️
Cetraben is the only thing that helps, the greasy ointment one.

My son had a nasty bout of eczema on his arms which he was prescribed cortisone cream for. I used it for about a week and it cleared it up but then a few weeks later it came back and the cream no longer worked. Baby oil seemed to make it worse but when I used Tesco Fred and flo baby lotion it was like magic! Cleared it right up! I tend to patch test baby’s skin 24 hrs before properly using it though as my family are nightmares for skin reactions with certain things! If it continues to get worse or looking red and sore take back to gp though x

this is what I’m currently using I’m going to stick it out I think but thinking of future advice if it stays the same and doesn’t clear. Thanks guys x

aveeno is great for eczema, i’m a eczema sufferer (although i don’t suffer much as an adult, was a lot worse as a kid) and i remembered being prescribed oilatum bath stuff. but oilatum doesn’t have to be prescribed, you can buy it and boots have a “oilatum junior bath additive”which is bath treatment for eczema or dry skin, or theres oilatum baby cream it’s worth a shot! Xx

If it keeps spreading are they sure it's eczema?? Perhaps stop using all creams and see how she reacts?

It was only the first day that it had spread more but all looks the same and it’s blanching her actions are all normal for her feeding fine. It does also run in the family as well as asthma which goes hand in hand so it makes sense. Obviously I’ll be going to the doctor again if it gets worse again but just wanted to see how it is. My mum has eczema and when it starts it spreads loads before it gets better too x
