Is it early labour??
Yesterday I had a sweep at 38+5 and was told by the midwife that she couldn’t do it well because my cervix was just about opened. But in the night I had intermittent cramps and backaches like every hour and I also did number 2 three times, I just woke up again (currently 5am) because of the cramps.
Is this early labour signs or just a normal reaction to the sweep, even though unsuccessful?

@Olivia did the cramps stop at some point or just progressed to contractions?

I am 38+5 today and my OB said I will have a membrane sweep next week if I want. She mentioned that it is normal for some people to express cramps after a membrane sweep and sometimes that can bring on labor but it’s not necessarily labor! Sorry you are going through that! Hope that helps!
