I have a story for you 😅! My second was a breech baby BUT wasn't discovered until 8cm. Midwife mishap - I had been telling my midwife at my appointments that he was breech as I'd had private scans, she was adamant he was head down/engaged etc I was also meant to have a growth scan as my first was a larger baby (9lb 9) but that never happened either.. I spontaneously went into labour at 40+3, the contractions were horrendous nothing like what I remembered with my first, I couldn't even have a proper cervix check & when one Midwife tried she made me soak my underwear with blood as she didn't seem to care about my pain. I ended up having the epidural & then when the lunch cover Midwife came in she gave me a check & said she could feel bottom & not head, so they brought a scan machine in.. he was infact breech like I had been saying from 34 weeks 🤣 my contractions had slowed due to epidural, so was prepped for emergency c section. I was never offered to carry on vaginally unfortunately 😕
Continued - I lost nearly a litre of blood and was prepped for a transfusion as my stats kept dropping. Thankfully, I didn't end up needing one. He was born weighing 8lb 12 (so another larger baby 😅) I would have carried on vaginally, but the doctor basically scared me into the c section route. Obviously I am glad me and baby were both safe etc but I definitely felt pushed into the section by fear mongering.
My baby was breech almost my entire pregnancy. They’ve offered me a breech vaginal or a ECV procedure. I’ve refused both and decided to go ahead with a C-section as it was the safest option 🫶🏻
