When to drop milk feeds

Hi everyone. My LG is 8 months now and is having 2 decent meals a day. She has dropped her milk a little bit and is now having roughly 750ml a day in addition to lunch & dinner. For those bottle feeding, does this sound similar for your little ones? Pre weaning she would have had 700 and 900ml a day so hasnt really lowered her milk that much. Do I just take her lead and lower the milk when she isn't finishing the feeds consistently? Or just lower it myself?

Milk is still the main source of nutrition until 1 year of age so it would be best to just follow her lead... The minimum requirement until the year for milk is about 20 Oz :)

Don’t drop any milk feeds until 12 months, my 7 month old is on 3 meals a day and 4x 8oz bottles, milk is the main source of nutrition until their first birthday when you can put them onto cows whole milk and start thinking about dropping x

I think dropping a feed is fine if you’re following your baby’s cues. For example my girl was not finishing all her bottles - I can’t force her to drink them all! I cut one bottle and now offer x3 bottles spread out across the day. Usually 7oz but sometimes 8oz for bedtime.

My girl dropped a bottle herself, she now has 3 7oz bottles a day and 3 meals x

Another vote for do whatever baby wants! I have found my LO has actually increased his milk in time with learning to crawl, he must be burning the energy off so much quicker so keep that in mind too!

Don't drop any bottles, my little boy is still on 4-5 bottles a day of 6oz and has 1-2 good meals a day xx
