I hope this isn’t too weird lol
If this is too weird please lmk and I will gladly delete it lol! Ok soooo my son is half Korean and half black. His father is the Korean BUT he’s absent which means my son won’t have anyone to teach him about his Korean roots. I’m sure that when he gets older he’s gonna wish I came up with a way to expose him to him culture sooo I’m thinking about befriending a Korean person and asking them to be his godmother or something. Idk…or joining a Korean church? I’d probably be the only black person there getting stares lol…
I know you said the father is absent but could you maybe reach out to your babydaddy’s family? If that’s not an option then I would definitely look for things in my area that can help him connect to his culture. The befriending a Korean person to become his godparent seems a bit weird ngl. But, I guess desperate times desperate measures. 🤷🏽♀️
