Did y’all see your primary care physicians or OB when you were sick? I’ve had to play middle man between my OB and my primary care physician because the OB won’t see me. I had to confirm medication’s with my OB that my primary care prescribed to me and one of them wasn’t even safe for me to take. I’ve had a chest cold for eight days now and there is no sign of it getting better and I’ve already got severe asthma, so I’m really nervous about this harming my child and they’re not taking it seriously. help 😭

Your primary should still know what is and isn't safe for you to take during pregnancy. I'd be asking before even leaving the primary's office. Even Google it infront of them if you have to

Unfortunately this is very common. Since your sick and could contiguous they won’t see you. When I was 6 weeks pregnant I came down with the flu my primary and ob would not see me I had to talk to them both on the phone

I usually see my PCP when I’m sick because of convenience(it’s based in my office building and they have a great team of nurses if the doc is busy). They know what’s pregnancy safe and not so I never had any problems

Do you have a portal online that allows you to send messages? I find that my OB and my PCP both respond within hours with any questions or concerns. They also set up appointments faster.
