highly recommend post partum care items for your breasts like cooling pads, mama earths nipple butter, and hydrogel nipple covers to soothe aching breasts/nipples. I was surprised how much I needed myself post partum 😅 wish I had been more prepared first time around but no matter how many stories people tell or advice people give, there's always something that'll catch me by surprise.

@Gina whenever before delivery, also adding in adult diapers which are more comfortable and easily change out with postpartum bleeding🧡

i had a few items before I gave birth. But then after I really was struggling with pain, dryness, and even a nipple blister. So we bought a bunch if other items , basically whatever we could find to try. Some people really like silverettes for soothing pain. Also, hospital provided some items . Like lanolin cream and a nipple shields. But I didnt use the shield long and preferred the butter I found online. Im actually packing the hydrogel pads and nipple butter in my hospital bag ( im 32 weeks tomorrow).

@Maearalynn we have support, but not really. Family all lives in another state. No one has bought anything off our registries. Family barely checks in with us on how things are going, and I'm high risk. My mom doesn't even know that I have gestational diabetes this time around. My youngest is 14!! So starting over and have had to purchase everything ourselves, which we have managed to purchase the big ticket items ourselves.

I felt this, even us moms need our mamas. My mom passed away from cancer less than a year and a half ago and I just really wish I had that support. My boyfriends family lives in Canada, so they are pretty far from us and the rest of my family lives out of state and I’ve never been very close to them since they are also so far away😕

For your breast pumps check to see if your insurance will cover it. Our were we used Babylist and it was amazing cause I just put my insurance info and they did everything else and it was shipped over free of charge. We’re talking a $200+ savings.
