Breech babies

Im not sure if you're seeing a chiropractor, but I'd recommend a Webster certified one who can help flip baby!! Doing that and spinning babies if you're not already can help! Im 36w (Not quite 37 yet) and baby was breech just until a few days ago! Also I've heard swimming helps. I've got an anterior placenta (so midwife cant do ECV) and am trying for a VBAC so I was doing all the things to try to flip baby lol

I guess I'm confused as to why breach would automate a C-section, breech is not unsafe. Doctors just hate having hands-off approaches with babies. I would not stress yourself out 🫶🏼

I had an undiagnosed vaginal breech with my first. I’m currently 33 weeks and baby is breech. I’m on my ball lots and doing forward leaning inversions to try and flip this baby. Have also read about swimming and Webster technique chiropractor which I’ll look more into if baby is still breech at scan next week. But I plan to deliver vaginally again if baby stays breech. I personally don’t think I’ll go for an ecv.

My baby was breech, transverse and head down all the way to like 38-39 weeks.. I had decided that if he was to stay the ‘wrong way’ I wasn’t going to do an ECV because to me if he’s staying breech or transverse there’s likely a reason and the risk of an ECV wasn’t worth it to me. I did all the things at home — walking, ball, spinning babies etc. and he did eventually go head down ish. I still ended up with a csection and during that they discovered while he was head down he was not the right way so I would have probably ended up with a csection regsrdless given where his head was and how tiny I am.

I’m 35 weeks and my baby is breech also they said if he don’t flip back by the time I turn 36 weeks then I automatically have to do a c section

Spinning babies!! Check out their website. My baby was breech at 34 weeks so I did their 7 day exercise plan and flipped him right over within a week.

Firstly, it IS very possible to deliver a breech baby, doctors just don't want to and c-sections are more convenient. Secondly, yes the risk of the cord wrapping around the neck can increase with a breech baby but actually lots of babies are born this way, but the moms don't realize it because not many are staring down there watching baby come out. Most babies bounce right back after a wrapped cord AND bounce back even better/quicker if you wait to clamp/cut the cord till it's white. Lastly, baby has plenty of time to flip, there's no "deadline" for flipping. Babies can be breech at the start of labor and flip by the time you're ready to push. Babies can also be head down and start to drop earlier in the 3rd trimester then be breech when you go into labor. They do their own thing.

You don't HAVE to do anything you're not comfortable with! Breech deliveries are 100% possible!

My OB said there is probably a reason the baby is breech so they isn’t recommended flipping so now I am having a C-section

My last baby was breeched until 30 minutes before being wheeled to my OR for a scheduled c-section at 38w 2d. I never felt so much movement the entire pregnancy until that morning waiting in triage while getting the run down from the anesthesiologist. They had just done an ultrasound the night before to confirm she was breeched and after I felt the movement, I asked for another ultrasound as a joke like “haha what are the odds she just turned head down on her own?” They suggested I get induced immediately before my baby could turn back around even though I was only 1 cm dilated. 17 hours later, a healthy baby girl was born at 6lbs 8oz without pain meds💪🏼

Baby can literally turn at any point, some breeched babies can even turn during labor. If you’re not comfortable with a scheduled delivery, don’t do it. And honestly, I wouldn’t even be concerned about baby being in breeched position until 40 weeks along.
