Genuinely how would you feel if you’re having a conversation of plans with you and your father’s child in the future and he goes “if they even make it then…” . Does that not sound like death is being wished upon an unborn child?

No you are not overreacting
Maybe he’s internally worried about all the stories that get expecting parents young parents all parents scared, I see so many teen related stories and I’m deathly afraid of my kids being one. Sometimes I say my anxious thoughts in a pessimistic way making it seem like I’m expecting failure, I’m thinking he meant it that way. Def bring it up if he keeps being negative about the baby, but also you could say don’t speak those things into existence, don’t speak of our unborn child like that please it gives me anxiety when they’re not even here yet etc something to be mindful
