Weaning poo 💩

My LO turned 6 months last week. We’ve been weaning for around 3 weeks. On Friday was the worst day ever 😫 She had what I can only describe as a small dog poo! It was seriously solid and caused her SO much pain in pushing it out. I’ve put it down to bananas. Has any one else experienced this? It’s now Monday and she hasn’t had another once since! I’ve been giving water and prunes to try help her have a softer one. She is also starting to teethe. What is everyone feeding their babies? FTM and a single parent! Help me 😩

We've tried broccoli (not a fan), courgette (not a fan either), mash, carrot and mash, roasted aubergine, avocado and peas and egg so far - his poos definitely have more solid parts but not completely so he's still going okay for now! He does seem to have so much more wind though so he's in a bit of pain on a night when we go to bed which is awful for him :( it's so hard knowing what to do for them!

Yes my son had been straining to pass his poo, which are deffo more solid. He went almost 3 days either way no poo, then completely filled the nappy with all the meals he’d been eating. It’s them readjusting to a completely new food source. I’ve now been offering my breast before each meal, reducing the amount I give him of the porridge or baby rice (now only 1-2 tbsp) and serving it with puréed pear, broccoli, sweet potato or avocado. I only allow him water in the high chair to wash food down and then top him up with formula if he wants, he only takes a couple of ounces. I also breastfeed over night. Hope that makes sense and helps

@Dionne thank you this helps a lot!

We do weetabix and she poos soon after. Was constantly constipated before starting solids.

We've tried peas not a fan..but the other day tried sweet potato, carrots and peas all pureed together he loved that.. his poo has became bigger and different colours now when he makes a grunting sound I know a poo is brewing
