Hi Mums,
I've started to feel really anxious after following someone online who talks about childcare development called Tammy Peterson.
She talks a lot about how it can be damaging for parents to go to nursery school even after one year old. She says before 3 its important it is for children to have constant 1 on 1 care with the same person. And nursery school causes them so much stress and too much cortisol.
So many parents have to work again after one year or even much before. We don't have any family either it is just me.and his Dad that he has. I'm terrified we won't be enough for him to be happy and mentally healthy and then as he gets older. It makes us feel so fearful and hopeless at times.
Has anyone had any similar worries or watched read this kind of thing?

Wouldn't usually comment but this woman sounds like an idiot.
I found it very hard when my 2 year old started nursery (when he was one) but he absolutely loves it. He's made lots of friends, plays all sorts of things that he doesn't at home, he's learning all the time, he goes in happy and leaves happy. Her comments sound really irresponsible and badly informed. Unless you're sending your child to a terrible nursery, you should never feel guilty x
I wonder what age her children were cut from the umbilical cord..
