Nappies that hold explosions?

My son is 10 weeks old. He weighs 13.8lbs (6.3kg). We used Aldi Mamia nappies and currently at size 3. I noticed size 3 quality is different and nappy is thinner than size 1 and 2.

It states size 3 is suitable until 19lbs (8kg). But every time my LO poops it leaks on his back and through his clothes. He poops couple of times a day so we have to do laundry everyday which is not very convenient.

Maybe there are nappies that tend to hold it better? For babies with big bottoms, for example 😅
Or should I just size up? But next size is from 7kg…

— His vests are not tight (he is wearing 3-6 months clothes already).
— I tried to zip the nappy tightly/looser, it still explodes on his back.
— There are no issues with pee leaking, he can go overnight in this nappies without problem it seems.
— I don’t want to use reusable nappies on top of the disposable ones as it will mean I need to wash extra items (saw this advice when searching on Google).
— He is breastfed and doesn’t seem to have problems with his guts, just eats a lot and poops a lot too.

I find the only one that’s good for explosions are pampers as they have the pocket thing to catch it.

I tried to use the aldi ones and hated them ngl. We use huggies but get them from costco because it's heaps cheaper and have only had maybe 4 blow outs in 8 months and quite a few i was amazed didn't blow! Also make sure you're fluffing out the lining around the bum it helps a lot one if our blows was the one time I forgot that lol

We use the pampers premium with the poop pocket

I use huggies because pampers gave her really bad diaper rash.
We also fold the top of the back of the diaper in towards her as sort of a catcher? Seems to work most of the time. But also the explosive poops just kind of come with the territory and slow down eventually.

We use aldi nappies and ignore the weight limits.
Our LG is 7.5 months and we use size 4+ which has limited the blow outs. It says from 10kg, she's just under 8kg but has chunky thighs so the size 4s were rubbing and size 5 are too big x

I use Snug Bums from Morrisons and I swear they do better than Pampers at holding in the poops 😅 I use Pampers premium protection overnight but that’s cause they can hold a lot of wee

CLOTH. They have real elastics. No thin stringy cheap elastics on disposables will ever compare to real elastics. I’ve never had a blowout in cloth- not one. I haven’t even cleaned up one. At least get some cloth diaper covers and put that over the disposable for guarantee no blowouts (why do you think pools have a double up policy, they can’t rely on a disposable itself not to leak, must have a reusable over it)

I read the last part- yes you will have to wash the covers. But at least no clothes of theirs will touch poop. (Or you or the bed or the car seat or the sling) You say you are washing every day anyway. I’d rather that be the covers, than the clothes, as they don’t stain and it’s easier to remove, than clothes. Either way you’ll be washing daily- the clothes, or the covers.

If it helps Lidl do size 3 normal (green bag) and size 3 newborn (yellow bag) I’ve find the newborn hold a lot! My girls 6 month old wearing them and she sleeps through the night they hold well for that length she’s asleep x

The Aldi nappies tend to get smaller and not as good quality from size 3, we found this with my first. We use Tesco Fred & Flo. We also always fold the back of our nappies as a poo catcher 😅

We’ve tried Aldi, pampers, Tesco and Sainsbury’s and all of them have leaked poo to be honest but ours isn’t always up the back it’s sometimes out the legs, I think it’s just because she’s going longer between poos now and so there’s more of it and I’ve just come to accept I’m doing washing all the time 😂 If you don’t want to spend pampers prices I think Sainsbury’s have the pocket at the back that might solve your issue if it’s always up the back

I used Aldi but found we were getting leaks - we now use pampers but most of my Aldi nappy using mum pals says sizing up is best. Apparently if u compare to a brand, they’re a size out

I rate Sainsbury's Little Ones, Rascals and Pampers.

Little ones have the same pocket at the back as Pampers do.

We use Millie moon & it’s amazing! Only time her poop didn’t hold was if diaper wasn’t fully secured (once) and just a poop or 2 that went up babygirl’s back. But it’s soft & nice!

Help! First time mum -

I have a 4 month old and now all of a sudden when he’s been asleep for 1hr30/2hrs he will wake up screaming (high pitched) I’ve tried winding him sometimes that helps, I’ve tried bicycle legs & bringing his knees up but that doesn’t seem to help but he brings his knees up himself sometimes but nothing happens. I’ve noticed since the 4 month mark he has started to struggle passing wind downwards! Any tips?

Big nursing bras!

I’m looking for recommendations for good nursing bras for bigger breasted ladies!

I’m currently in a 38H which seems to be the biggest size done at M&S (UK based mama here) and it’s snug and not as supportive as I’d like. When I look online, they mainly seem to be sized S, M, L, XL etc rather than bra sizes.

Any recommendations please?

Crying during feeding

Hey mams! My girl is 6 weeks on Monday and is having so much trouble with feeding. It doesn’t happen every feed but more often than not she will start a bottle and just start crying as if she’s in pain and she can’t take the milk. I think it’s trapped wind but I genuinely don’t know what to do it’s so pitiful to see her not be able to feed! She’s formula fed and on HiPP Organic.
Anyone else been in this position? I’m pretty sure it’s just a bit of trapped wind that she needs to fart out but can’t! If anyone has any advice I’d be very grateful as I think I may need to tape my eyelids open soon 😂
