Talking

Is anyone’s little one not really talking? He can say a lot of words when I say “___ can you say ___?” But he very rarely says anything off his own back/with intention apart from no. My younger daughter (14 months) says so much (with intention) compared to him. Is anyone in the same boat? I’ve heard girls are a lot quicker but I’m getting a bit worried now

My little boy just goes da da and ma ma but he just says them if I’m honest. He does make a lot of noise but just not words. We’re on the waiting list for speech therapy. It’s so frustrating cause I feel like he’s been on the edge for wanting to talk for ages but it’s just unfortunately not happening.

Our little boy is speech delayed. He’s 2 years 4 months and only says a handful of words. He’s booked in for a hearing test at the hospital and speaking to our health visitor regarding some speech therapy

My boy isn't saying a lot either, we're going to bring it up with the health visitor at his 2.5 year check, last time I spoke with them she said she wasn't worried at the time as he was only 2

@Lauren that’s so annoying cause at his 2 year review they were concerned cause he should of been saying 7 words by then. Seems like it always depends who you speak too. All we can do is wait now as the waiting list is long where I am ☹️ so frustrating as I know he wants too he’s almost there but just nothing ☹️

My little girl her speech is delayed but she can say few weeks like, momma, dad/ daddy. Both of my sisters dog name (belle, reg) dd when my dog was alive. Hiya, I did it and two, nana and no. But she understands what you are saying to her. We got health visitor on Tuesday xx
