Does anyone else’s toddler refuse to talk at nursery?
He talks so much at home now. He’ll ask for more food or his drink, says shoes if he wants to go outside, he’ll point at animals in a book and name them, says ‘uh-oh’ if he drops something. But nursery have never heard him say a word! Is he shy? He’s been going there since he was 9 months old.

Were the same! Nursery told me they’ve never heard my little boy speak but he does talk at home. He’s super shy. Has he recently moved to a new room at nursery?

My LO has been talking since about 14 months at home he was saying loads but nursery would say he’s quiet and I was really confused. The last week he’s started talking there and they’re shocked because it’s like he learnt a ton of words overnight lol. I wouldn’t say he’s shy necessarily I think at home they’re the comfiest and at nursery there’s lots happening I bet it’s alot for them. He’ll get there!
