Yoga ball stretches, staying active, dates raspberry leaf tea. Anything that you can do to prep your cervix should be able to assist your body in starting to dilate. I started these things at 35 weeks and was 1 cm and softened at my 37 week appointment after being closed at my 36 week appointment. It also just depends on if babies ready and if your body is ready. Good luck and safe labor 🫶🏻✨
I didn’t dilate at all or anything up until i actually went into labor at 40 weeks with my first which is still normal! You're still a bit of ways from your due date, it's okay to not be dilating yet, your body knows what it's doing. Natural ways to "help kickstart labor" can be 1. pumping/expressing 2. yoga ball exercises and lots of walking 3. sx (sperm contains the hormones that can soften your cervix and dilate you) 4. orgsming in general can cause contractions that can begin dilating your cervix. Natural ways to PREPARE your cervix and uterus and may help make labor quicker and less painful, but do not necessarily "induce you" are 1. eating dates 2. eating pineapple 3. drinking labor teas 4. castor oil 5. n!pple stimulation without expressing/pumping 6. evening primrose oil 7. kegel exercises 8. raspberry leaf tea.
@Taylor she said curb walking, walking a lot in general, she said you can try all midwives tales like eating dates, raspberry leaf tea, bouncing on the yoga ball!
@Adriana thankyou Adriana
My doctor said sex and pumping are the two best ways!
There’s really no need to dilate before labor begins. Typically those who dilate beforehand have a slow early labor/pre-labor. It’s also okay to not have a long and slow pre labor. 🤍 some people dilate from a 0-10 in just a couple of hours.
Your cervix being closed means nothing and won’t change your labor date or length. 4 hours into labor and my cervix was still closed. I labored for 18 hours total. It took my cervix 16 hours to go from 0-6, but only 2 hours to go from 6-10, and I only pushed for 12 mins🙏🏼 Everyone’s body is different and processes labor on its own time, just try and sit back and let it do its thing😊
I’m confused. Why are you trying to open your cervix at 36 weeks. Just let your body do it’s thing
@Maddy Jaffie i was diagnosed with gestational diabetes. So my doc had to just check that if my cervix is open or closed. The doc will induce me labor in 39 weeks if i am not dilated by myself.
@Shyna got it
For me pumping and squating worked wonders
What did your Dr's recommend? I was told to walk ... 🤣 I walked 30,000 steps in 2 days and nothing.
