Has anyone been to Turkey recently and everything has been ok and you’ve had no concerns? We are due to go next week with our 8 month old and with all the medical horror stories I’m seeing recently I’m losing sleep with worry at this point! I haven’t been to turkey in over 10 years and have never been to the part we’re staying in so I’m nervy anyway about taking baby without all this stuff I’m seeing 🫣

My husband is Turkish and my 3 year old has been there many times visiting family and holidays. Healthcare in Turkey is far superior to the NHS- it’s not even a close call. We’re traveling to Eastern Turkey in 2 weeks and no concerns whatsoever. Just as an example, we sought help for my son from the NHS as a baby and was constantly fobbed off with colic no-one would even examine him. Took him to Turkey and they did blood tests and X-rays and found out he had reflux and various deficiencies that we could then treat. Please don’t let sensationalist articles in tabloids put you off an entire country

We’ve just come back from Turkey with our one year old and everything was fine. We didn’t need any healthcare there though, so can’t say if it’s as corrupt as people are saying right now.

That poor couple that are in the news atm are actually from my town, it’s so scary! We wouldn’t visit Turkey even before that for many other reasons but that’s definitely added another one 😭 however we’ve never actually been to the country so can’t tell you what it’s like for most people, hopefully it was a one off, but just make sure you have good travel insurance etc

Omg we got back last week with our 9 month old! Everything was amazing! They cater so well to babies - we got water from the shop a brand called hayat who do specific water for babies and even can with a sippy cup attachment which my little boy loved! We bought our own jar’s of food from here but also let him have fruit and yoghurts in the hotel. Nothing to worry about from my POV
