When to move baby into own room?

Hi all, My baby is 4.5 months and still in the Next to Me with the side down. I feel like we’re waking him every time we go to bed and he would sleep better in his own room. He still wakes several times a night so would probably be more annoying for us to go and settle him, but I’m seriously wondering if we are disturbing his sleep being in the room with us. The guidance is to wait until 6 months but lots of my NCT friends started moving their babies into nurseries at 4 months. Anyone moved their LO already?

We have - she was looking so cramped and sleeps better in the big cot (won’t fit in our room.) At the moment one of us is sleeping on the floor of her room on a mattress though 😂

Nope. We don’t even have her nap in another room as per NHS guidelines. When there’s an increased risk of SIDs, I’m not chancing it

I've recently moved the next to me crib as far away from the bed as possible and he's sleeping so much better now! I thought he'd sleep better being closer to me but he doesn't 🙈

I’ve got the next to me on the other side of the room now, still in with us but he’s not disturbed by us getting into bed
