Pants or bare bum potty training?

We've been introducing the potty in the evenings with bare bum time, and he got it almost straight away, learned to feel when he needed a wee then would take himself to the potty. We tried pants today and he just kept weeing in them instead of even thinking about going to the potty. Tomorrow is the first day of proper intensive potty training, do we continue with pants and just let him learn by wetting them, or go back to a day or two or bare bum or commando then reintroduce pants? Any other advice welcome!

Oh crap! Said bare bum for a few days then commando for a month. My son had a huge fit the second day, went into his room and got a pair of shorts from his drawer and put them on himself. So we only did one day bare bum then straight to commando for the rest of his week off When he went back to daycare the next week we did boxers so they wouldn't feel like a diaper. He's not allowed to go commando at daycare.

Always pants!! They will hate the feeling of being wet and also in time learn the act of pulling them up and down. When out or at nursery you need pants so start this off as the norm. Go to a shop and chose some fun pants and make a thing of it. Get them slightly bigger so easy to get on and off for them

We went straight into pants x

We did bare bum for about 4 days then commando for around a week
