My baby boy just turned 1 year old and he’s been constipated on and off for about 3 months. The doctor did testing, 2 blood work tests and his thyroid and it all came back fine. We have a GI appt soon but I’m feeling frustrated. Also we give him all natural fruits and vegetables.
Anyone have a similar experience, will he grow out of it? I don’t want to keep using miralax.

What fruits/veggies?
Avoid bananas!!
Focus on pears, peas, broccoli, avocado, kale, spinach, berries etc

Also making sure he is drinking enough water (not spring) every day. After 12 month it’s like 8-32oz per day!!

I give him all these and yes I was told to avoid bananas. All natural! Maybe switching off formula will help

I am actually weaning my 1 year old as well from formula to whole milk and she has been constipated

Yes if giving both formula and cow’s milk could be an issue!

why not spring? Just curious

the minerals in it could be too much for baby

Came back in here to say my baby boy is constipation free for about a month or so.
I don’t know what worked but we did the following for anyone in a similar situation:
-Switched his formula to Kendamil
-Stopped just giving him fruits and veggies and started giving him more “real” food against doctor’s recommendation meaning we started giving him what we were eating have it be lentils, pasta, burgers, etc.
Or maybe he just grew out of it.
