Hot to touch but no temp??
My daughter woke up about an hour ago and was absolutely boiling to the touch. She wasn’t upset and she’s been fine all day - my thermometer is saying 37.5. Gave her Calpol but it doesn’t seem to have cooled her down. She’s in bed with me now and on the boob and gone back to sleep. Has anyone else had this before? I’m surprised she doesn’t have a higher temp with her feeling so hot, wondering if my thermometer is broken and what I should do

My son gets like this all the time, I assumed it’s abit like when we feel hot and we sweat but our core temperature is still fine - but they can’t regulate by sweating yet..? Don’t know if that makes sense xx
My daughter was like this not too long ago. I was also shocked her temp wasn’t higher than what the thermometer said and I was using 2 different ones. You can give her ibuprofen 2 hours after calpol which should help. Doc told me if you’ve given them calpol then 2 hours later ibuprofen then 2 hours after that their temp is above 40 then seek medical attention. Hope your daughter is okay and if concerned get her checked out 🥰
I don't trust thermometers 🤦🏼♀️ I splashed out on the one that goes in the ear cause it's the only one I trust
I had the same issue as you where I KNEW my daughter was hot and had a temperature but the thermometer kept saying otherwise
