Marriage and weddings

Hello ladies! I am currently a single mom by choice, and sometimes there’s a tiny bit of a doubt in my head, asking myself if I’m making the right choice. At first, my thought process was… Most of my relationships has been a failure. Most men in my life has initially swept me under my feet, But was a total nightmare in reality. So, my question is… Am I missing a lot for just choosing myself and having a baby and not waiting for a man to save me and get married? I see my friends and some women have these beautiful wedding photos, extravagant elaborate weddings… And I can’t help but wonder, these women looks like they found their Prince charming. Does everybody get a happy ending? Does Prince charming stay charming all throughout?

No relationship is perfect so it depends what you want. Ending a marriage can be very messy and expensive.
I married when I was 30 to, who I thought, was my soul mate. We were a team and did everything together. He then turned into an alcoholic so I ended up a single parent. Yes there were signs but I trusted this man with my life and it devastated me when he let us down. I have now been with my current partner for 4 years. I will never marry again as I believe that marriage is to spend your life with someone and I will never trust anyone that much again. My lo comes first and I now know that if the other person chooses too, they can make divorce a nightmare which will affect my lo even more than just a break up.
I'm sure that sounds like I am bitter but I believe that marriage leaves you vulnerable to the other person

I live with my boyfriend and we have a daughter together. We are not married either. At first, everything was almost perfect in our relationship, but we've run into some issues lately. It does not mean I don't still love him. Relationships are work, you have to choose to love your person every day. Do not stay in an abusive relationship, if you see signs, leave. But no relationship is going to be perfect all the time. Everyone has issues they just choose to keep them private and that is totally ok.
