I am looking into all the baby stuff and can’t get over the price of the owlet sleep sock. I’ve heard so many good things about it but don’t know if it is worth it. Let me know your opinion

It is 100% worth it to me. I wasn’t sure about it as well but now I realize how much peace of mind it gave me. We still use it every single night. My son has used it since day 5 of his life. Yea sometimes it will go off for too much movement or not reading correctly but I’d rather get false alarms than no alarm when his oxygen drops.

100% agree with this. I did not have it for my first and I was so anxious and couldn’t sleep even when she was sleeping so I got it for my second. Game changer.

For me - worth it when they move into their own room. I bought one when my LB turned 6 months and went into his own cot in the nursery.
I can just sleep more soundly knowing that if something was wrong the alarm would let me know.
Also been peace of mind when he’s been poorly etc

For us it wasn’t. It was so annoying and didn’t work well. Maybe if your baby sleeps well and doesn’t move a lot? Mine was not like that and the stupid alarms went off all the time. Like several a night.

I bought one and only use the camera. My little one hated the sock and screamed blue murder every time I put it on. FTM and 9 weeks in, i’m nowhere near as anxious as I thought I’d be! X

Absolutely worth it. Baby sleeps in bed with me, and its a absolute live saver. Gives me peace of mind even though I'm a light sleeper.

Just offering a new perspective! I looked into these extensively before my son was born and almost ordered one, after some thinking I decided against it because I have quite severe health anxiety. My boy is six months old now and I have no regrets about not getting it because to me it wouldn’t have brought me peace. There’s a lot to be said for your instincts when baby is here, when they’re right next to you you’ll naturally sleep a lot lighter. Also it (sadly) can’t prevent the worst case scenario - but following safe sleeping guidelines will massively reduce the risk
That being said, if it WILL give you peace of mind, there are definitely cheaper alternatives like the Snuza Hero that are supposed to be just as good 🩷

Worth it for me. I sleep much better

My coworker loved it and highly recommended, she's high anxiety. We got it and never felt the need for it. We were able to exchange it for other stuff we needed on our registry, so that was cool.

I really wanted one but it’s just too expensive… 12weeks in and we’re doing fine without it so depends on your budget

In my experience with this it is entirely dependent on you and your little one. Some people loved it, I found it useless. I’d try it if you’re interested, just be sure you can return it just in case

I brought the snuza hero instead but never ended up using it, I heard with both of them that they go off when baby is fine and the thought of that made me more anxious so I just stuck to checking her myself through the night

I bought a second hand one. Due in June
