I had success with 5mg and trigger and timed intercourse. Second baby it didn't work, so it was 5mg,trigger,and IUI that worked

Why is your doctor keeping you on 2.5mg if it’s not working? I started on 2.5mg which didn’t work after one cycle my doctor told me to increase to 5mg which induced ovulation and I fell pregnant that month. I never had a trigger shot.

Maybe it’s country specific - I’m in Australia if that makes a difference in doctor opinion.

that's a good question. It's also possible that she is ovulating on that dose and just not conceiving. I did 2.5mg for 2 cycles because I was ovulating, on the 3rd cycle I didn't ovulate so my Dr increased to 5mg

No, I haven’t done IUI. That hasn’t been recommended to us and we aren’t there yet.

I’m in the U.S. and my doctor hasn’t wanted to up the dosage of Letrozole because I have successfully ovulated each cycle on it but just haven’t fallen pregnant as a result. My doctor wants to add in the trigger shot this next time so that I can specifically time ovulation and have a stronger ovulation to increase my chances of conceiving. I think as long as I’m ovulating on 2.5 mg, she doesn’t want me to go any higher.

Nice! If you are already ovulating the trigger shot doesn't really do anything but ensure that you do ovulate when your follicle is big enough. Currently doing IUI with trigger shot. I'm taking Clomid though, didn't have success with letrozale

I got my son off 1 cycle 5mg letrozole no trigger
Trying for #2 i did 9 cycles 5mg letrozole, 1 miscarriage, now I am doing injections for ovulation induction

Thanks! Just 1 round, only grew one follicle the doctor wanted two and I get two on Clomid. Did IUI last year and resulted in a chemical. Trying again.
