She slept most of the way, but definitely stopping for some time so they can stretch and get out of the car for a bit! They’ll definitely feel the ears popping so a bottle in hand once you get to that point or a paci if your baby uses one will be a life saver!
We’re making a trip from FL->AR->CO and back soon.. I think we’re going to leave at night so maybe she’ll sleep a lot of the way! She’s formula and breastfed so we will have plenty of formula and water bottles to make that for her. I’m probably gonna bring a small cooler to store the little bit of breastmilk I make in it. Other than that, toys lol
We moved from Massachusetts to Florida in a car, just make sure you stop as many times as you need to, have plenty of Formula and or baby food if your baby’s on it or not, as I hear a lot of people start feeding baby’s baby food around that time, plenty of diapers and a couple of toys if need be, a blanket and in my honest opinion you should one or two changes of close to reach, just incase baby has a blowout or because of weather, I made that mistake our a/c had broke on the trip and I had my son dressed warmly but he was so overheated I had to leave him in just a diaper and put cool wipes on his head, he was about 3/4 months the time of our move, but I can’t stress stopping as much as you need for diaper changes, feedings, or even just to get the baby out of the car seat and let them stretch their legs, a lot of the time my baby spent sleeping but there was a good portion he was up and just wanted to be out of the seat and to eat but unfortunately I wasn’t driving to pull over
When we drove from Florida to Alabama when my son was 4 months we packed a lot of toys and premade bottles. We also stopped a lot to give baby a lot of breaks and walks, basically time out of the car. Make sure you prepare for that because you will definitely need to stop a lot.
We stopped every two hours to give baby a break from the car seat and to have a bottle. Brought a ton of toys she liked and even a couple of new ones. Played her favorite music when she would get fussy. But honestly at that age she slept a lot of the trip which made it nice.
