Low lying placenta and flying

Hi guys,

I’m currently 26 weeks and will by flying at 28 weeks pregnant. No one in the NHS told me when I had a low lying placenta that flying was not recommended until I booked my very expensive holiday that can not be refunded.

How risky is it? The flight is 4 hours. Has anyone here flown with a low lying placenta. Is there anything I can do to reduce risks?

What do I do and what should I know.

Hey! I wondered if you went on the holiday? I am in the same situation. I will be flying at 26 weeks and 27 weeks! X

I did fly in the end :( had to cancel the holiday as I just didn’t want to risk it and doctors weren’t really helping me decide. I reckon if I went it would’ve been fine because my placenta is now at the top so it did continue to move up into a safe place.

Oh really! All the drs have told me it'll be fine so I'm going to go! It's only 2cm away so I'm hoping it moves up! X
