She was walking slow, holding the railing just misstepped. I always walk in front of her so I caught her but she was going face first and now I’m so scared of the stairs like I’ll have to walk in front forever 😭 all I could picture is her having a permanent injury and it’s scared me so much. Has this happened to anyone? How can I ever trust her with stairs?

Hi, I understand you, it’s very scary.
Just the other day my son roll over three steps. It was terrible, he cried a lot. Thank goodness he didn’t get hurt.
From that moment I always remind him to hold my hand when we go downstairs and I tell him “one step at a time” or I make him count the steps.
Anything that makes him go slow

Mine fell down the stairs at 14 months. I didn't even realize the door to the stairs was open (husband had been watching him and went to the bathroom and I was on the other side of the room). It was like 10 stairs. Got a big knock and his first bloody nose. Super scary but he doesn't seem any the worse for it.
They are going to fall. They are going to trip. It's terrifying. Learn the signs of concussion and be there for them when they fall.
