Does it really work with settling babies? I think my little girl has a really sensitive tummy, currently on cow and gate so I wasn’t sure whether to change to the comfort formula, but she isn’t constipated.. if anything, her stools are quite loose!
Thanks x

I put my little one on the comfort formula and it constipated her! So took her off and used Colief drops and normal formula as they break down the lactose in the formula too. Comfort milk did settle her in some aspects, as she was really struggling with the normal formula! Unsure if that helps, it’s always worth a try if it helps little one x

My health visitor advised me to use this after my baby girl stopped settling after feeds during night (whenever she’d be laid flat). She’s 7 weeks and I swapped 2 weeks ago and she’s been 100x better, she feeds, burps and settles pretty much straight away (other than typical little noises and squeaks now and again). She isn’t constipated or getting any reflux, only side effect is her stools are now green which is normal for the comfort milk. We use cow and gate for reference, she was on the normal first milk then swapped to comfort x

thank you! I tried colief drops but stopped after a week and a bit as they weren’t making much of a difference. I might give the comfort formula a go and see if it helps x

when she was on normal formula, did she grunt like she would be in pain? I feel like this is all my little girl does when she is awake and she’s been like it for the past 2-3 weeks! I’ll give the comfort formula a go and hope for the best x

my little girl used to grunt loudly and if she was laid down she would be really wriggly and arch her back, lift her legs and look generally uncomfortable. She still makes little noises when she’s asleep but that’s just her being asleep, it sounds a lot different since changing formula and she settles so much quicker after feeds x

thank you! Is she a lot better during her awake windows too? I just hate seeing her so upset x

she’s having her off day as they do at this age where she’s clingy and upset but on the whole she’s so much happier, her wake windows are longer and more active. Since being on this formula she sleeps longer periods at night too (not sure if it’s just coincidence) but she used to be up 3/4 times and now she’s up once during night then up early on a morning x

ahh im glad she’s a lot better! Did you try any other formulas, or just cow and gate? I wasn’t sure whether any formulas would be less harsh on their tummies, for example ones that don’t contain palm oil or fish oil. Not sure if that makes a difference😢 x
