VACCINES AND CMPA

My little girl has CMPA and was fine with both her 8 and 12 week jabs. She has her 16 week jabs tomorrow and I expect it’ll be the same then. When you say potential exposure, how is she behaving? Is she breast or formula fed x

Thank you, that's very reassuring to hear! Did your little girl have any symptoms of her allergy present at the time of her vaccines? She is combination-fed, and I mistakenly consumed dairy yesterday and gave her a small feed before I realised! She's been on her hydrolysed formula since, but is showing signs of a sore tummy, bad reflux (cries when burps), and general discomfort. I feel awful. x

Aw bless you both! Do you have any gripe water to hand to help with any tummy pain? Yes, my daughter has always had symptoms of CMPA, hers are mucusy stools, excema, trapped wind and relfux. Before we knew this was CMPA (we were gaslit by professionals) we gave her a bottle of formula which lead to blood in her stools and her face swelling 😢 but her vaccines seemed to cause her no issues whatsoever, obviously she was abit more sleepy as most babies are but asides from that nothing else x

I breast fed my baby until 10 weeks and didn’t know she had CMPA before that and she was absolutely fine just a temp for that one night as is normal. She still had her dodgy tummy symptoms as normal but it didn’t make it too much worse just some diarrhoea

@Elle, thank you so much, I didn't have time to reply before our appointment, but your message really put my mind at ease. She has had her vaccines now and, touch wood, seems to be doing well, just a small temperature and a bit of fussiness, but nothing a cuddle doesn't fix! Thank you again, I hope your little girl is getting on better with her allergy and that your jabs tomorrow go as well as the others have 😊 x
