When did you start letting your LO have screen time if ever and what did you let them watch?
I’ve heard Ms Rachel is good but I’m not sure if I want to let me LO have screen time even if it does mean I get 15 minutes to do what I need to (I have a velcro baby who doesn’t like to let me get daily chores done)

My lo is almost 13 mo and very rarely gets screentime. When he does I let him watch Mrs Rachel and only for like 10 mins and I watch with him and engage. My lo doesn’t let me do anything either but I just involve him in Everything! When I’m in the kitchen he likes to sweep the floors or when I’m doing washing I tell him to put the clothes in the wash and close the machine etc and he loves being involved!

So my toddler is now 2y7m. We've always had the TV on on some capacity in the house whether its me watching it or something for the baby. I'm a believer of there are two very different outcomes of screentime.
Screentime with no interaction from the parent and no monitoring.
Screentime with interaction from the parent.
I've always interacted while baby/toddler watched tv. IE sung/danced/talked with toddler while watching TV. I've left it on to play while we play with toys. I make sure its educational and nothing inappropriate or AI/mindless. Now when the TV is on my LO prefers to play rather than watch it.
Its helped my daughter in so many ways including language/sign and imaginative play. However I also recognise how it can be bad for the development and why it isnt recommended or why parents choose no screen time which is why I do monitor it.
Ones I let my LO watch was ms Rachel, wiggles, Danny go, ceebees is great for educational shows too like Mr tumble. Bluey is a great one also.
