We have ours on Thursday, those who have already had it, how did you prepare them or any tips at all?!
I know if I explain it to him, he’ll be like ok cool, and then we’ll get there and it’ll be awful😰

I sort of didn't 🙈 I explained how we don't just see dr's when we're sick and sometimes we see them for magic medicine to stop us getting sick. We went and the nurse was great, she said pretty much the same thing and gave him the sheet of stickers to choose from whilst they jabbed him, he didn't even notice! He also was absolutely fine in the days following, totally took me by suprise! X

My daughter had hers last thursday, I let mine watch her tablet while they were being done 😂 specifically the episode of cocomelon where JJ gets his jabs 😂 she didn't even notice and was absolutely fine during and after, we went the fair after and would never know she had her jabs that morning, she was fine following then x

Oh perfect! Thank you both, fingers crossed ours goes as smoothly 😅

Ours was a last minute appointment so didn’t really prepare, other than getting his toy DRs kit out.
I promised a trip to the shops straight after where he could choose a treat which did the trick. He cried for a couple of seconds then I mentioned going to the shops and he was fine. Didn’t seem to have any ill effects. The nurse was great and had a TV right in front of him which helped too.

I prepared our boy with talking him through what will happen using his play docs set. I did tell him it will probably hurt but that's ok as it was be very quick.
He did so well there was tears but a maccies after sorted that.
I didn't want to lie and say it would all be ok I wanted him to know it will probably hurt and your arms will hurt for a few days later as I wouldn't want him to get a fear of injections later on, if you get me. X
