Lower back/ right hip pain after c section
Hi. Just wondering if this pain is normal or should I go back to the labour ward? I had a c section 5 days ago. The pain is really bad but aside from pain in the actual wound I have a very bad pain on my lower back right side. Does anyone have any experience with this?

It’s probably because of the anaesthesia, but if it’s severe then you should definitely contact your health visitor
Is this your first c section? I had bad pain after my second and it was nerves and scar tissue from my first. Also after my second I was in a lot of pain for four months. Now I'm my fifth I'm starting to feel better. Remember your body has to rearrange everything again but I would check with your doctor to make sure everything is ok and that knows your health history. I also have fibro and sjogrens which I know plays a part in my pain.
wow four months!
I’m one month in now, still very bad pain but not all the time, is does hurt after walking for more than 10 min 🫤. I did have an infection early which cleared with antibiotics. However pain still going 😩
