For all the mommas on here have a question. So I lost my mucus plug today also known as the bloody show, I’ve been super uncomfortable and really crampy ever since. How long after you lost yours did you go into labor?

It can happen today or in a few weeks…I lost mine at 34 weeks 4 weeks later no labor yet 🥴

I lost mine 3 times now, I've been in early labor for 4 weeks, I'm 38+5. I wish I had a solid answer for you sug

Yeah I’ve been having early labor as well for the past weeks and still nothing if anything if you start dilating soon it may just help with giving you an easier labor 🤷🏻♀️

I repeatedly lost my mucus plug in my last 2 pregnancies and labor wasn’t anywhere near.
I didn’t have the bloody show until I was already in labor for a few hours during my 2nd pregnancy! So it’s hard to say.

I went into labour the same night I lost my plug Xx

Currently 39w1d and haven’t lost my mucus plug and only have had some cramping Braxton hicks here and there for a couple weeks

First pregnancy, about 2-3ish weeks if I remember correctly?? This pregnancy, 5 days and counting. 🫠

So your mucus plug and bloody show are two completely different things. They can come out together, but your mucus plug can also come out in pieces at anytime and doesn’t always mean labor is near. For example I lost mine in 2 large chunks, over an 8 hour period, 12 hours before going into labor with my first. However, I’ve been loosing it in small globs for about 3 weeks now and am 38weeks pregnant with no signs of labor approaching. It also can regenerate itself so just because you lost some of it doesn’t mean it’s gone for good. Now if it came out in a large glob with your bloody show with it also that’s a different story😅 I never had a bloody show with my first, but I’m pretty sure that’s a better indicator of labor being near then your mucus plug.
