40 +5 sick of waiting!

Anyone else this far over and waiting for induction? Really didn’t want to have it at first but realising it’s definitely heading that way. I have a sweep tomorrow and then induced by balloon. Wish my body could have done this naturally!

You can do it! Get on the ball and bounce them out!

As a mum who isn't allowed to have a natural birth, due to a failed pessary induction with my 1st, the one thing I wish I did was wait till latest 42 weeks before I opted for induction! That 1 extra week in the long term is nothing compared to the time you'll have with them once they are here!

You have to do what you want in your gut and what feels right! :) and by this point just take it day by day, relax and have some time to yourself!

You still have time! Have a hot bath and a spicy curry.. or some fun with your partner and it might happen! X

I went to the midwife at this point with reduced movement. She sent me straight to the hospital. Baby was fine but they kept me in as I was overdue. Induced me with pessary and she arrived 8 hours later! Just get all the sleep you can today!

Did your due date change between booking app and scan? Mine did both times even though I’d tracked my dates so both of my children were technically overdue although from my original dates they were 1 day late and born on due date I’d worked out. I explained this to midwife both times as I didn’t want intervention unless medically necessary and they were happy to leave me to go spontaneously which by the changed dates was 41+1 and 40+5.
Good luck!
