Advice if possible please
My little girl started her weaning journey I make homemade purées for her she loves it.
But I’ve noticed she’s constipated and when she does poop it’s hard and dry, I give her water with her meals which she enjoys.
She’s not so keen on her milk (see previous post)
Im really unsure how to help her go to the toilet 💩. Is this a doctors job?
I never really had this issue with my sons. So this is all new to me ?
Should I try blended oranges ?
Any advice please ♥️

I think is very common when starting weaning because the body is suddenly having to digest something very different. Have you tried prune purée? That can help! I’ve also heard pear purée can help with constipation.
Is she on formula? My health visitor advised that the pre-made bottles of formula almost have laxative effects because they’re such a smooth consistency so you could maybe offer one of those a day too! X

Prune and apple puree helped with my little one

For constipation prunes apples and pears x

Thank you for your reply, funny you say prune puree I actually have some in the cupboard that I brought yesterday!
Aww wow I’ll also try the ready made milk too, I’ll see how I get on. Thank you xx

ah perfect! Hope it all works for you 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Yep, same as above - my boy was constipated for 4 days and I gave him a pouch of prune puree and that sorted it! Good luck lovely x

thank you ❤️ x

thank you my girl ❤️ will be trying this today. Xx

For constipation and immunity at my little girl I use pure aloe vera gel

I water down pure apple juice (not from concentrate) when my little boy is struggling, also pear and peaches are good for keeping their poops soft

Increase fiber in her diet... apple, prune, berries, peas
