Today I found out I'm pregnant😊 can you tell me what to do next? Do I need to do bloods to confirm it or just book midwife appointment? Do I need to start prenatal vitamins now? If so, what's best?

Congratulations!!
First thing I did was get myself to the shop for some pregnacare. The earlier the better in my opinion. Also call got doctor or go online and register that you are pregnant with your local midwifery team. They will then contact you and ask a few questions and arrange a call back for your first appointment!
Exciting times ahead!! Xxxx

thabk you! So just pregnacare? I was getting overwhelmed with amount of prenatal vitamins.
i think there's few types of pregnacare. Does it matter which one?

I started with pregnacare original but I moved onto Pregnacare plus as it has Omega 3 for brain and eye development but it is also expensive so it’s up to you which one you chose. :) xx
if I register myself for midwife does it mean I don't have to get bloods done with gp?

Book midwife

When I fell pregnant, I never went to get bloods done. I don’t know if that is the thing that is more common in the US where they do the beta tests. I literally just applied to or self referred to my local midwife and then they contacted me within a couple of days to discuss my tests when I got my test when my last period was to then determine how far along I could potentially be, and then they booked in unappropriate appointment for an actual first Midwife visit.

Congratulations ! The boots vitamin D and folic acid (1 tab a day) is all you need. Much cheaper too. Depending on where you live , you inform your GP and they refer you onwards for antenatal care or you can self refer to a hospital of choice. You will only be seen for the first time between 8-12 weeks after which you will have your first ultra sound scan. Unless you choose to get a private scan to check for the heartbeat at around /after 6-7 weeks . All the best !
