VBAC / C Section

Hi Everyone

I’m really undecided about what birth I want.

I had an emergency c section with my first baby after dilating to 6/7cm. The aftercare was so bad and I have a lot of anxiety around birth now.

I know I have the option to have a vaginal birth and also to have a c section but I’m really torn on what to do. Does anybody have a similar experience or have any advice at all, thank you! 🥰

I am in the same shoe as you, having had an emergency C-section due to a last minute breech presentation.

Immediate aftercare was tough. It’s quite challenging to make a decision honestly but I think I will still stick to medical advise.

I will think it might be worth considering the peculiarity of each pregnancy also

What is most important is the health of mother and baby after everything.
I wish you the best in whichever one you choose

There are tons of great VBAC stories on YouTube and podcasts. That could help you get an idea of what other women experienced and what you may want!

Have a look at the birth uprising on social media, they do a vbac mini course which goes through a lot of the information to help you decide if that's of interest

thank you so much, there definitely are many things to consider! I wish you all the best too 🥰

Really similar!
I’ve booked an elective c-section as I’m just hoping to get in & home asap this time round x

how are you feeling about it? xx

much better. Just knowing it won’t all be a rush, I’ve spoken to the hospital and raised concerns about the aftercare I had last time so I’m hoping this time it will be smoother.
I’d love to try for a VBAC but does slightly worry me the thought of the scar opening, or ending up in the same situation as last time and needing emergency c. Just feels this way avoids any of that stress x

Induction?

Anyone been induced before? Was it more painful? Better than thought? Worse than thought? Worth it? Thoughts?

Worth the wait and pain. Baby girl arrived at 7:15 this am weighing 7lbs 6oz. She is so calm and chill.

Induction or c section?

As a last resort, would you rather be induced or have a planned c section?

Really not liking the thought of being induced from people’s experiences I’ve read!

Growth scan

So had my 28 week midwife appointment- all good but after measuring bump- I’m now waiting on a scan within a few days as bump is measuring small I’m not worried as I am guessing a tape measure is hardly accurate but
For anyone who has been in a similar position- what was the outcome after the scan? Was the baby on the smaller side ?
Was baby measuring normal?

Thanks
