Hey mummas. I’m a FTM and my little girl is 5 months old. During the first 4 months, she slept in her next-to-me crib but lately she’s been bed sharing with me and we both sleep soundly at night. We have a King Size bed so plenty of room for her, my partner and myself.
Question is… what do you dress your baby in when they bed share? Do you put them in a sleep bag still? And would I wear tight fitted tshirt to reduce risks?
The reason I want to co sleep is because we both get a better night sleep and she loves a cuddle. She’s having a nap now in my bed with me laying next to her 🥰
Thank you x

We usually leave baby in warm clothes still. We all have separate blankets, him included. If it’s cool enough tho he’ll use a padded sleep sack and blanket tucked around him as well. As for our clothes we just wear whatever really. Nothing super big like oodies and stuff tho

My son is same age roughly — It completely depends on the weather & also your room set up (we have our bed next to the window which we keep open most of the time esp if it’s not freezing out & depending on the temperature and breeze we do either one layer more or one less than during the day (when it was really hot a few days ago we did only diaper most nights it’s with a onesie on top — i think how hot you and your husband run also can have affect - we both tend to run very hot and when we followed those charts baby would get so sweaty and then end up cold & want to nurse allll night long so I ended up not getting any sleep . There are charts depending on your temperature for bedtime clothing & is just adjust it slightly based on above 👆🏻 factors

I agree with Lesya that you should take into about the temperature and how hot you and your baby run. The charts are made for a baby sleeping alone and it's always going to be warmer for them if they're right next to you. Sometimes a lot warmer!

In this weather and coz he has my body temperature as well I just do vest and sleep suit because I don't want him to over heat on really warm nights he is just in a tshirt n shorts no vest. I just wear a tight tshirt n a little blanket on my legs. In winter I would keep him in his sleep sack but as it's coming up to summer n nights r warmer I would definitely error on side of caution n dress less. Cold baby will cry a hot baby will die x

I put my girls in sleep sacks for a while but they would get too warm so regular pajamas for them. I would still freeze so I do tight fitting long sleeve and blanket wrapped around my legs. I found a cardigan that is just sleeves kind of like ballerinas wear and wear that most nights with my nursing tank

My baby and i run warm (pp night sweats😂🫠) so i usually just wear my nursing bra and bottoms, my bb usually just wears a footie pj, if i get chilly i will wrap a blanket around my legs. Its gotten warmer so now she wears a thin cotton short sleeve onsie and i always have a light blanket for her incase she gets chilly but only on her legs

Me too! I use either a short vest and sleep bag lighter tog- or a baby grow that’s long, is she okay sleeping in the middle? Or anyone know the advice on that is it after 6 months old? Xxxxx
