I’m 13 weeks and have been told my baby has chromosomal abnormalities that are not compatible with continuing the pregnancy so I will soon be facing a TFMR. I want to deliver the baby rather than surgery. I have previously had a missed miscarriages, including one at 9 weeks, and used the medication approach. It was a very physically traumatic experience (I had 2 doses of the tablets), with lots of blood loss, and it took a very long time to recover.
Does anyone have experience of both a non-surgical TFMR and a non-surgical MMC who can advise on how they differ or compare with recovery?
I send my love to everyone who reads this who has ever experienced this situation. It’s heartbreaking 💔

Hiya firstly I'm so sorry you're part of this group, secondly I've had a non surgical TFMR at 16 weeks I gave birth to my little boy. I won't lie it was my worst labour (2 living children) but I'm so glad I pushed through to be able to hold him and spend time with him, we even had a funeral. Recovery time was quicker than my MMC surgery as I bled after and was in pain for about 2 weeks. With the TFMR I was back to normal within days physically. It is different for everyone however I found non surgical better recovering then surgical x
