Hi Mums,
I have just found out how the 30 funded childcare hours need to work.. that to get the 30 hours you need to put the little one in nursery for 5 days a week. Either for half or full days.(6 0r 12 hours)
I was hoping to go back to work part time to save money. I'm so confused about what to do now.
Did anyone else have the same worries or figure out a good solution?
I can only get 15 funded hours of I work part time and less than 5 days. If I work 8 hour days part time you only get 6 hours per day paid out of 12.
On top of the sleep deprivation and baby blues it feels overwhelming.
I'd really appreciate it if anyone has any thoughts .

The 30 hours doesn’t have to be used over 5 days. My little girl does 2 full days and from September will get the 30 hours funded. I’m not sure if your chosen nursery just have that rule but that’s not the case everywhere?

No, this isn't true. But, settings do get to set rules on how the funding is offered at their setting.
