For scheduled Inductions Did they call you? how soon did you get in?

Looking more for kaiser patients but i’m kinda anxious about my induction getting pushed. My baby is measuring big so they scheduled an induction not elective. I just want to know if i’ll actually get induced on the day.

Hey mama, I’m Kaiser and I got inducted into labor and it was quick overall, the doctor told me to call before 10am and I did, they knew I was gonna call and right away they told to come at 1pm and to make a callback when I was on my way so they can have the room ready. I did everything that they said and right away I got there I had a room, everything pretty smooth. Good luck 🍀💕

Hi I was induced at Kaiser. My baby was measuring big too! I was told to call the night before the scheduled induction. I called and was told to call back in the morning. I did and was then told they would call me. They called at 4:30pm😅. The induction process began that night. Baby came mid afternoon of the next day.

I’m with IEHP and delivered at RUHS but I can share my experience with being induced. I was scheduled to come in at 8:00pm on a Saturday night…they inserted a pill around 10pm…came back about 3/4 hours later and realized I didn’t dilate so they inserted another pill and I waited another 3/4 hours and at that point it was morning time w/no progress in dilation and they inserted another pill…once they realized the pills weren’t dilating me, they put a foley bulb which is like a balloon that they inflate once it’s inside your cervix. An hour later “pop” my water breaks and then my daughter came right after (2:09pm).
My second induction/pregnancy is when I got a membrane sweep at my last doctors appointment around 38/39 weeks in the morning. The next morning around 8am I started feeling cramps and then my labor began, I labored at home until noon and then headed to the hospital. My son was born at 3:18pm.

Similar as others. I had an elective induction. I had to call on morning of to confirm. They did warn me of the possibility of being sent home for the first part of indiction but it all depended on how baby was doing. But in the end we were asked to stay due to change in heart rate.

Induction began at 3pm on Sunday- baby was born Monday at 4pm.

The process was extremely smooth. Better than anticipated.

Did balloon from 4p-11p; myso pill from 4p-5am the next day. Got my water broken around 5:30. Pitocin started around 7ish. And I was fully dialated by 1p.

No hiccups. No regrets on induction. I didn’t really have a birth plan either since a lot of things can go south real quick. The goal was a safe delivery- safe baby and mom!

I was induced at Kaiser. But I got induced from an appointment due to high blood sugar. But I got induced and was in labor for about 38 hours. It was a pretty smooth process over all!

C section or natural?

I am a control freak and thinking c section is the least stressful route for me and baby… less complications during labour etc. whilst acknowledging recovering can be hard.
If it could be guaranteed no tearing or complications then I would opt for natural and kind of want to experience the feeling.
Then again could plan and go either way 😂 arghh!
Anyone else in this predicament?

Period like cramps

Hi
I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant and I keep getting period like cramps I thought these were Brixton hicks but I’ve heard they only last 30 seconds ish as this can go on for a good time frame then go away and come back, they aren’t bad enough where I can’t do basic things they just feel like I’m about to get my period I’m jus wondering how normal this is? Baby is still very actively kicking xx

Midwife check

Can someone remind me when the midwife visits you at home? Is it the day after you’re discharged? And is that the same on the weekend or do they not visit then? Thanks!
