Milk allergy or baby acne?
Hi, just wondering if you guys think this could be a milk allergy rash or if it’s just baby acne? My girl has been getting Breastmilk since she was born apart from 1 or 2 bottles of formula during the night. She has had this rash for a while but we have put her fully onto formula now and it’s gotten worse. She is sick after nearly every feed and is really unsettled all day and has colic so cries for 2-4 hours in the evening. Her dad also is lactose intolerant. The doctor has prescribed us gaviscon which we have been on for over a week now but it’s not helping at all so will be getting back in contact with them.

It looks like the baby acne my little boy had. I put aveeno baby moisturiser on him after every bath and it soon cleared up.

My baby with CMPA did had a rash like that, reflux and especially unsettled in the evenings, but also frequent mucousy poos with blood, congestion, slow weight gain, and difficult to feed and burp. We were prescribed aptamil pepti to top up breast feeds (I’ve gone dairy, soy and egg free) which after 3 weeks worked then Gaviscon later added for the reflux, but took a couple of weeks to kick in. If you have other symptoms, and no improvement on Gaviscon go back and trust your motherly instinct 😊
My baby had spots like this but worse spread round her face which we assumed was baby acne...I cut out dairy for other reasons and it went away so hard to know if it was just a coincidence. She still has a few spots but no where near as bad.
