I’m trying to pick out a play pen for my 3 month old. We have 2 dogs and we want a clean area they can’t go into. I also am hoping to attach the O- rings so my LO will learn how to pull herself into side lying and standing when she’s ready. I would like it to be big enough so an adult can comfortably be in there too (about 60x70).
The wooden playpens look nicer and I like that the material is non toxic. The mesh playpens are cheaper and come with more stuff but I don’t like the material (polyester).
What did you use and did you like it? Or what do you wish you have known before purchasing one.
Or maybe I’m overthinking this??

the mesh one easily break, i had one after like 8 months too many holes 😂😂my daughter poked through it. we got the plastic version very sturdy, and easy to assemble.

Go for wood, the mesh ones rip so easy

With dogs I would go wooden 🙂

Thanks everyone!!

I have the mesh ones and have 8 toy poodles and haven’t run into any problems. My daughter falls over etc and she doesn’t bump her head or hurt herself.
We actually have two a bigger one for play/ crawling and a smaller one for the kitchen and outdoors the smaller one is compact and easy to take outside.
I love that mine comes with foam to cover the metal parts on the outside so even if she does bump on that part it helps cushion it and when she falls on the sides it’s soft and breathable so doesn’t matter if she leans on her face/ head / back never gets hurt which is why I went mesh instead of wood but I’m sure if you look for a more expensive version you might be able to find one that’s non toxic ?

Mines mesh and it’s great x

I have a plastic one and my little one can literally climb over it so i would buy mesh next time

I ordered the harppara wooden one on sale at Walmart. It should arrive In the next day or so. I’ll let you know if I like it.
